All Mind content is reviewed for age-appropriateness, has no controversial messaging, and has positive framing. It's written directly to your kid in a direct, honest voice — not a lecture, not therapy. Just good thinking for a great summer.
Who I Am
You know how your fingerprint is different from every other fingerprint in the whole world? Like, not just a little different — completely, totally, 100% different?
That's actually true for your whole entire self.
There has never been anyone exactly like you. Not ever. Not in all of history. Your exact combination of personality, interests, sense of humor, experiences, and the way you see the world — nobody has ever had that before, and nobody ever will.
That's not just a nice thing to say. That's actually true.
But here's the thing: a lot of people go through life without ever really thinking about who they are. They know what they like to eat and what games they play and what their favorite team is. But the deeper stuff — like what they're good at, what they care about, what makes them feel most like themselves — they never really think about it.
This week is about that. Getting to know yourself a little better.
Think about it like exploring. Imagine you found a map with a big section that said "unexplored territory." Wouldn't you want to go see what's there? That unexplored territory is you. And the cool thing is — you're the only one who gets to go on that specific adventure.
You don't have to have yourself all figured out. Nobody does, even adults. But young people who start thinking about this stuff early — who they are, what they value, what they're good at — end up making better choices, handling hard situations better, and feeling way more confident in who they are.
This week, let's start exploring.
Five Days, Five Questions
One prompt per day, Monday through Friday. Pre-teens and teens write in their own journal — any blank notebook works perfectly. There are no wrong answers, just honest ones.
Earn Bonus Points
Grab a piece of paper and write your name in the middle. Fill the rest of the page with everything that makes you YOU — things you love, things you're good at, memories, jokes, whatever. Make it big. Make it messy. Make it real. Keep it somewhere private. It's yours.
Go Deeper
Curated additions to make the week richer — a playlist, a poem, a values activity, and a tool your kid can use to discover what they're naturally great at.
Search "Who I Am MSC Playlist" on Spotify or Apple Music, or look up any of these songs individually.
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Think about it: Frost isn't just talking about a path in the woods. He's talking about the choices that make us who we are. What's a "road less traveled" you've taken — or one you're thinking about?
One of the best ways to understand who you are is to know what you're naturally great at. Gallup's StrengthsExplorer is a research-backed assessment built specifically for kids ages 10–14 that reveals your top natural talents.
Show Something That Feels Like You
Find one thing this week — a photo, a moment, a place — that captures who you are right now. Share it with a parent, text it to a friend, or just keep it as a memory. It doesn't have to be perfect. It just has to be real.
